I didn’t know what I was getting myself into when I signed up for piano lessons with Tapan Sir. For me, it was to get comfortable with the instrument as I had never played it before. But Sir brought a structure and purpose to the activity for me. He taught me to take learning the piano more seriously, taught me the importance of practicing, patience and perseverance. He was also very patient and dedicated with me and personally took it upon himself to ensure I learn the instrument well and pass my initial test at Trinity College of London.
